Horse Cookies

“For if we hope for what we do not see, with perseverance we wait eagerly for it” Romans 8:25 (NASB).

I often carry horse cookies (treats) in my jeans pocket. Even though my horses cannot see them, they know the cookies might be there. They also know they might get one, or more. Since the horses have this knowledge they wait, eagerly, in anticipation, listening to my instructions, hoping for the cherished cookie to follow.

Our knowledge of Christ gives us the hope He offers. Are we as eager to please Him, in anticipation of a reward even better than a cookie is to a horse?
